Finally got my 400 amp meter base (320 a) in. It had no lugs though, so including double and single lugs, the normally $250 base cost $600

You got a bargain according to some I've seen listed on various "selling" boards. Seen them up to $2500

Even pre pandemic I was paying 3 something for 320's with no lugs. Do yours have lever bypass?

Last 320a I installed had 500 lugs, so I put in 500AL

Utility planner refused it, said he wanted 750 and wouldn't budge.

So I had to spend $60 on lugs and $300 to replace wire up my mast - so that the lineman could drag a 2/0 from the pole

The 320s we get around here just come with studs. I usually double stack crimp lugs (assume 2 sets parallel or 230.40 ex #2 0r #3), but have bolted on mechanical lugs too.
