NYC has a way of installing power for the fire alarm systems and here are some of them:
http://www.nyc.gov/html/fdny/pdf/fire_prevention/faiu_bulletins/industry_reference_sketches.pdf
What other configurations are allowed? for example,
Could we have 3-wire (2 hot 1 neutral) to the fire alarm service switch rather than 4-wire (3 hot 1 neutral) as shown in the pdf above?
Could I splice conductors downstream of fire alarm service switch to feed two fire alarm panels rather than having a fuse cutout panel? Two fire alarm panels will be powered in parallel.
Other than what is shown on the pdf, what other configurations are acceptable?
