This is from the fire alarm spec. The 3 #12's for a horn doesn't make any sense. Usually #16. Does it make any sense to anyone else?

I would say #12 is a little hefty. Horns are fairly low draw compared to strobes. The thing I'm really curious about is why 3 conductors? I've never heard of a horn circuit needing 3 conductors.
