Fire alarm code loss of power

I could not find it in the 2014 NEC. But maybe someone knows where its found in the NFPA 72, or maybe I overlooked it in the NEC.

Is there a code or requirement if the fire alarm panel loses its 120 power (normal) even though it has a battery backup that there is suppose to an indication/signal sent to a 24hr monitored location?

I know I read it somewhere cannot remember where.

Thank you for this info. Do you know why they do not require monitoring of the neutral? If the neutral is disconnected the unit will not work.

4.7.3.1.2 Monitoring shall not be required for the neutral of a three-, four-, or five-wire ac or direct current (dc) supply source.

One reason, maybe not sufficient, is that the neutral will not in general be fused or switched, removing that worry about inadvertent power disconnect.
The unit will continue to work on battery if the neutral fails, and you will potentially have another warning associated with the decreasing battery voltage. Just not as early.

Fire alarm panels monitor the battery charging circuit. If the charging circuit fails, whether due to a lost hot or neutral, the panel will give a loss of AC notification.
