Fire alarm horn spacing

A fire alarm wall horn, when the specs is listed at 88dba at 10ft, does the 10ft is at 90 degrees also, I'm figuring the spacing on a 5ft wide corridor, and I know you loose 6 dba when doubling the distance,but on a polar distribution can I figure 90 degrees from the horn?
