So meeting with a client today(fire alarm company) who's giving us big FA job to price?

Existing system remains in place until new system is fully installed then we remove the old system.

It's an existing FAA( yes for airlines) building.

Anyone very familiar with FA systems? Wondering if you maybe could share some inquiries I may want to bring up?

I already have a list but I'm not as smart as some of you guys :).

Are you doing the complete project, of just the conduit and wire for a fire alarm contractor? If you are expected to do the complete project and don't normally do that work, you probably need to partner with a fire alarm contractor. You can't even buy the equipment for the system with some brands unless you are one of their dealers.

The fire alarm company is his client, so I'm guessing it will be conduit and cable with the FA company to install field devices and do panel terminations. Which ATCT is this? Newark?

I skipped over that...then he should be able to bid it just like he normally bids the installation of conduit and wire, or cables.

True, but the FAA has some particular requirements. You absolutely need a copy of their standard specs. Not to mention you have to pay Davis-Bacon wages.
