Fire and NEC code issue question again

They are asking for a receptacle again to be installed above the rack that is installed above the fire extinguish. It was brought up again that this might be a fire code issue because in the past the fire inspectors did not like shelves, etc.. mounted above that close the fire extinguisher. See my drawing, would your area allow this to be? and also they usually require some type of signage showing where it is, and that is not there. I dont see an NEC code violation, if there is one let me know.

I would not recommend installing the receptacle there, the in cabinet fire extinguisher was there first, and its just easier to move the shelf and install the receptacle some where else for the chargers. Shelf is about 6 inches above.

There is no code that prohibits the proposed installation. If the fire inspectors don't like it, they should put it into a code or amendment. JMHO
