I have a customer who wants a coax cable ran in their home. They have a two story home with the access on the second floor. There is believed to be a fire block on the first floor room where he wants the drop. I have a six foot drill bit, but would like any advice on making this job easier?

Are you refering to a horiziontal framing member to block off the stud cavity? If you are using a flex bit it needs to be sharp or it will not self feed through the framing and you will not be able to put enough pressure on it to force it through.
