Fire extinguishers

Our safety director wants our ABC fire extinguishers replaced in certain areas with an electrical specific extinguisher. The areas are video edit rooms that are not sealed to pass a fan test nor is one required. Any thoughts on this?

If I have a choice I would much prefer CO2 for electrical equipment fires. For a small electrical equipment fire the ABC powder often does as much damage as the fire.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong but Halon fire extinguishers are also on equipment? For some reason I thought I saw that printed on some in a computer room.
