Does anyone have any suggestions how to determine fire pump conductor ampacity deration where the conduit is provided with an insulating fire wrap or similar enclosure?

I don't believe it is necessary to derate the conductors for that reason. The conductors are already increased in size by 125% and do not need to up-sized again. :smile:

Are you using the Fire Rated Conductors approved for the fire pump feeders? These do not need to be derated if used according to the manufacturer's recommendations and UL labelling.

We are needing to satisfy the 2-hour protection requirement. The fire pump controller had to be installed in a different location than originally planned. The conduit and conductors have been installed without protection. I am looking for the most cost effective method of protecting the conductors without having to replace with fire rated cable or conductors, if possible.
