A fire pump is supplied by 2 sources:

1) Generator: OCP and wire are sized to 125% of FP HP rating. The breaker is installed in an em/ls panel also feeding other em/s loads.
2) Campus utility: Direct tap on the load size of the (campus fed) building's 480/277V main board with wire sized to 125% of HP rating. The tap is located in the section of the board with other distribution breakers.

The connection on the generator side seems acceptable, but the utility side would seem to need a OCP to the FP's LRC and located ahead of the building's main breaker to be code compliant.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I've searched the forum and seems all similar questions are generally left unanswered.
Thanks in advance.
