Two questions on fire pump disconnects: 695.4 allows disconnects AND associated over current protection to be installed between the fire pump source and fire pump controller.
1st question: Is overcurrent protection required (sized at locked rotor amps) or may it be a simple service rated switch without overcurrent protection.
2th question: If the disconnect is allowed without overcurrent protection, and is located away from the fire pump controller, is it allowed to bond the grounded conductor from the utility with a main binding jumper at the disconnect or does the grounded conductor from the utility need to go all the way to the fire pump controller.
