Fire Pump Feeders

Just curious. When both the norm/em feeder are tagged to be concrete encased how is this achieved if the em feed is being feed from roof(genny) and the FP is 10 floors below. Is the vertical polrtion really concrete encased or is MI cable used? THanks.

When you say "tagged" does that mean it is a contract requirement?
