Need some code help here, regarding the following example, please note I am making up the values below just to explain what I am looking for:

This is for a California Hospital
There is Paralleling switchgear which has qty (3) 500KW generators, 480 volt system
So each generator will put out about 750Amps giving a total of 2,250 Amps

Let?s says the amps needed for Life safety & the critical branches are as follows
Life safety 600 Amps
Critical 500 Amps
(Both require being up in 10 seconds)

With the above two branches we need about 1100amps, which would require qty (2) generators to be paralleled to the bus in under 10 seconds.

My question is should the required power needed for the fire pump be included in this? And if yes should it be based on the locked-rotor current?
So for example let?s say the locked-rotor current for the fire pump is 500 Amps, so now we have a total of 1600 Amps, which would now require all 3 generators to be paralleled to the bus in less than 10 seconds?
Is this correct and if yes where does it state this in the code book

Thanks

695.3(D) only requires that a generator used as an alternate source for a fire pump have sufficient capacity to allow normal starting and running of the fire pump. This is a 2011 section, in the 2008 it was 695.3(B)(1).
