Fire Pump on Generator

I don't recall where I read it but is it required to have the ATS for a fire pump to be in the same room or location of pump and controller?

May have to add one to a existing building but the issue I'm having is the water supply for sprinkler system come from a pond and the the pump motor and

controller is in a concrete vault thats too small to add the ATS.

The ATS must be specifically listed for fire pump use and be located in the fire pump room. This is typically done with a listed combination fire pump controller/ATS as one unit.
