Fire pumps are there own animals, besides it being NYC, you've now double'd down!
Your Local AHJ will have well defined rules, applications and their own limits.
The only one aspect that inverse the thought process here as to an electrican's everyday thought in respects to fire pumps is: that the Circuit is breaker'd, as opposed to always breaker a circuit.
IE A fire pump is front loaded and always hot to a breaker, where every day we breaker a circuit!
