Will fire pump's supply conduit (from utility transformer to fire pump) need to be concrete encased
while the conduit runs underground and outside building boundary? I was confused by definition provided
under 230.6 for conductors considered outside the building.

Physically outside the building is outside and no concrete encasement is involved provided it meet 300.5 depth.
The concrete encasement refers to conduits on the interior of the building. When encased in concrete they are considered to be outside.

Can this conduit be PVC schedule 40?
