Hey Fellas,

Taking the big test tomorrow can anybody break down the
branch circuit, feeder size, overcurrent protection for fire pumps , 125% 300% 600%
Can anyone help... MIKE are you gettin this.

Searched the code got fustrated and had to move on to VA, per sq ft.

You need to look at 695.4(B)(1). This tells you that the OCPD needs to be sized according to the locked-rotor current of the firepump. This information typically on the firepump nameplate. If not, it must be figured using table 430.251(B). If you compare the values in 430.251(B) with the values in 430.250 you will find that the locked-rotor current is about 6X the FLA of the motor or approximately 600%.
