Hello Everybody,
I need some help. We have a required fire pump currently being installed in a 12 floor fully sprinkled building with an R2 use group. The installation design calls for a generator (for compliance with NEC 695.3) located in the attached parking garage with the generator wiring installed through the building to the Listed Fire Pump Controller. Would the requirements of NEC 695.6b apply to generator wiring that is being routed through the building? I'm not sure that the text requires this although it seems like it would be essential to provide protection for that wiring. One side note NFPA 20 is not recognized to be used for inspections here. Thanks
