I have been told that there is no requirement for mounting 2 hour rated cable to a two-hour rated structure (Manufacturer XY). The purpose of the 2 hour rated BNC cable is for the riser of a Bi- Directional amplifier (BDA)

The instructions simply say, mount to wall or floor assembly. Other manufacturers (Manufacturer ZZ) clearly requires that the cable be mounted to a two hour rated structure.

It simply makes no sense to attach a 2-hour rated cable to a 1 hour rated wall. This would simply be a rated 1 hour cable assembly.

Is there a requirement that requires the two hour rated cable, be supported by a two rated structure - If so, where can I find it - I have looked everywhere!

VITALink, for one, requires the wall or floor assembly to be 2-hour rated. Since that is part of the installation instructions, you have to follow that requirement. It certainly makes sense that the structure used to support the raceway has to be capable of surviving as long as the cable.
