fire stations/ambulance bays

Is anyone else having troubles with gfci receptacles or circuit breakers tripping at fire stations or ambulance bays while these emergency vehicles are parked waiting to be dispatched. Our vehicles are plugged into a dedicated 120 volt/ 20 amp GFCI circuit using a hard usage cord and cord cap. This is an 8 bay fire station w 8 trucks and only one truck seems to be tripping the circuit. The truck is a newer truck and the fire chief keeps looking at me for a fix. What are your thoughts?

If it is just 1 truck I would check to see if there is a ground fault within the trucks equipment.

I service a large number of Fire and Rescue agencys and have experience with that problem. The most likely fault is in the power inverter/ charger on the truck. You may want to test for a short between the grounded and grounding conductor.Then I would consider the inverter / charger. Is this an ambulance or other vehicle, if it is an ambulance then check the refrigerator used to keep the fluids cold.
