fishing wire behind baseboard

Does anybody have any tips for fishing romex behind the standered two and three quarter inch baseboard trim. Used only for a last resort if there is know attic or basement access.

do you mean removing the baseboard to get along the wall? just remove the baseboard...

yea it would be for running the wires behind it.

Just remove the baseboard, remove the sheetrock, drill out the studs and re-install everything, the baseboard seems pretty short though, most of the houses I do have 5 1/2" baseboard... alot easier to work with.

In some of the older houses, I found when I removed the 1/4 round there was enough cavity between the hardwood and the plaster that I could run Romex there safely.

Just how legal is this ? Your now within 1 1/4 inches of nailing.Its nolonger fishing if you remove the board
