article 555 applys only to stand-alone boathouses(boatdocks)and not to boathouses in association with single-family dwellings.artical 555 refers you to use all requirements in chapters 1through 4.i have friends who live on the lake and were told they could use underground tri-plex to feed their sub-panel which would be mounted on their fixed not floating dock.i told them they had to have an squipment ground and run pvc or rigid conduit and pull two hots and a netural with an insulated ground.#1. am i correct.if i'm not show me in the code whats correct.#2.does anyone have a checklist for installing power for this application . #3they are not going to have inspected so i'm tring to prevent a serious accident if not wired correctly. thanks david in tn.

David we cannot give much info to do it yourself people but I can tell you that an equipment grounding conductor is required at the sub panel. Article 250.32(B)

I hope that you are supervising these installs.
