Guys, if these fixtures( the 4' ones) were recessed in a drop ceiling but RGS had to be used on the job would it be possible or allowed to used fixtures whips( say under 6') out of the fixture to a box nearby and the RGS would enter there or would you probably/have to pipe right into the fixture? Fixtures are being fed with (2) line voltage wires and (2) 0-10v for most part? Yes there are two independent raceways, one for norm and one for EM. Thanks

Yes the conduit would enter a box and a fixture tail or whip would go into the fixture. Depending on how far part the fixtures are you may be able to have multiple whips from a single box feeding multiple fixtures at least for the normal lighting. The EM would probably just be a single whip to the EM fixture since they're spread out.

Yes I agree but I was thinking if a job spec calls for all EMT or RGS and you use whips for fixtures then your not following spec.
