Aren't both of those stand alone equipment without the need for anything additional?

I Spoke with my inspector, and he requires the device to be weatherproof while in use per 406.9(B)2(a)
Makes sense, but surprising how many locations (cities) these could not be installed in.

I went with a GE T030N instead, and looks like a nice unit.

I like the GE unit and have used them in the past but they are very large. A receptacle and an inlet are not the same. IMO there is no NEC requirement for the inlet to be used with the same in-use cover restriction as a receptacle. Inlets fall under 406.7.
