There are no true arc flash standards. The ANSI standard deals with colors and meanings of words. NFPA70E-2009 requires shock information and incident energy or PPE level. Things like what specific clothing to wear is not required.we are going to be making labels about the hazards of arc flash to be placed panelboards etc. what are the guidelines for the correct demenshions color etc ? i was trying to find the ansi standard z535.4 but i had no luck .any help would be appricated .

In the NFPA-70E 2009 page 26 under Equipment Labeling:
Equipment shall be field marked with a label conataining the available incident energy or required level of PPE.
Some Companies are going with the Dupont standard Color signage ie; Green, yellow, orange & red on their Switchboards & Panelboards.
While other companies are going this route:

What do I when I replace a motor and change the available fault current due to its contribution?
Or the fact the available fault current from the utility can change at any given time.
