need some info on what software is the best and if any body knows which software can updated your price book for you

They usually offer automatic updating at an additional cost, and the price is on a monthly rate, pricing services are not cheap, in my opinion, knowing how to use a price book, is more of an issue then auto updates.

Satcom - do you have some recommendations as to which packages are more "user friendly"? As you point out, the biggest issue is knowing how to use the price book. I haven't been using flat rate, but have thought about going in that direction.

Thanks

Everyone is going to have a system they like, but you need one that will work for you, this site has threads on flat rate, you may want to go thru the postings, and read the comments, I use AYA Nova for both scheduling and pricing, the prices are updated with current supply house data, every purchase we make, is updated in the data base, so we have current actual prices, we also update the labor and job times with current job actuals from completed projects, so our dase shows the real cost of doing a job.
