I’m in Delaware and we are on NEC2014
i installed under cabinet lighting in my kitchen recently. I took power from a receptacle in the basement. I used 1/2” EMT to gain access to one part of my (1st floor) kitchen. I ran 14/2 inside
My kitchen is large so I have multiple conduits to get onto the 1st floor. For one of the other conduits , I used used 3/4” Flex with 14/2 romex inside.
My question is, can FMC be used between floors ?
Neither the EMT or Flex is “grounded.” Is this required if I’m only using them for physical protection from damage ? They are both about 36” total length
