I have always used a flexible connection when connecting bus duct to a transformer; hard bus all the way to the throat of the transformer and then a flexible (braid, wire, etc.) connection on the tangs of the transformer. I am looking for application notes or some other detailed explanations as to why this is necessary. I use them because of vibration and swelling of the transformer during heat rise but I am looking for a more detailed explanation. Any help will be appreciated. --John
