Will a flexible cable marked SEOOW - that states on its cut sheet application as ?submersible? - be in compliance with Table 400.4 and definitions if actually installed exposed (submersed) in a reservoir?

The table states wet and damp locations.

tryinghard,

Cut sheet says submersible, I would have to think it is ok for your installation. The table

says wet and damp locations, if the code did have a submersible location, I think this cable

would be in it.

will the cord be exposed to sunlight, and is this particular one sunlight resistant? For the application, I would consider carol super vu tron -pretty much the toughest SO cable out there. Im not really a fan of the 'standard grade' SE(J)OOW cable types, but if you have SEOOW like the military grade stuff Philatron makes theres no beating that....

I did, the cut sheet came through a vendor. I was currious about the NEC with this type cable and alternates. The one it's replacing is #6 solid with steel braid outside installed sometime in the 50's?
