I have a 200 amp 110/220V single phase main panel which is feeding a 100 amp sub panel. I used 1-1/4 EMT as a raceway between the two panels. My question is this, can I use a piece of "greenfield"(flexible metallic raceway, 1-1/4"), to go from the EMT to the 200 Amp panel. The the lenght of the greenfield is aprox. 8 ft.

Re: Flex metallic raceway

As long as the FMC is not subject to physical damage, you use the proper fittings, and install the proper size equipment grounding conductor (bonding conductor), the installation will be compliant.

Re: Flex metallic raceway

Are there any UL flex connectors listed for bonding (grounding)? I was under the impression that there is not....

The AMC-5075 and AMC-75 will take 1/2" steel flex. Even under 6', with anything over 20A in the flex its a moot point anyway, you have to pull a gnd.

Pierre, thank's. I understood exactly what you meant. One more thing, can the FMC be as long as 8 feet?

When pulling a gnd, flex can be run as far as you want. The run limitation only applies if you intended to use the armor as EG (and even then there's a 20A max on the circuits within if you do so)
