I WORK WITH INDUSTRIAL ENCLOSURES, I AM CURIOUS TO FIGURE OUT IF I CAN RUN FLEX CONDUIT FROM MAIN ELECTRICAL PANEL TO ELECTRICAL COMPONENT. THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE TWO IS LESS THAN 24". ANY COMMENTS WILL BE APPRECIATED.

Flex Conduit or FMC installations must meet the provisions of Article 348 of the 2002 NEC. As long as the installation is not in the areas as specified in 348.12, you should be okay.

The title on your post says "flexible nonmetallic conduit", but in it you refer to flex conduit. Obviously, if it's nonmetallic you'll run a ground with it, but remember, here in Michigan, the Part 8 rules say that even metallic flex must have a grounding conductor installed regardless of length. Other than that, you should be fine.
