Does anyone know of a flexible cord rated for fixed lighting fixtures with a ground ? The code book specifies most as rated for a pendant or a removable fixture, but I don't want to use romex unless I have to, and to make it a little easier I am using the WAC fixtures.

The wire will not be fished behind the walls so that is not an issue, I just prefer to use some that easier to hide than romex. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

IMO you can not use cord for this application.

ARTICLE 400 Flexible Cords and Cables

400.8 Uses Not Permitted.
Unless specifically permitted in 400.7, flexible cords and cables shall not be used for the following:

(1)As a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure

(2)Where run through holes in walls, structural ceilings, suspended ceilings, dropped ceilings, or floors

(4)Where attached to building surfaces

You must use a Chapter 3 wiring method, NM or FMC or AC or MC etc.

Thanks iwire,

I had figured 400.7 was with the intention of a plug being attached to the cord but wanted to make sure. I'll just have to romex it and come in the back side, won't be hard to conceal or make look good, but will certainly take a little more time.
