I have a design Scenario where there is UPS and electrical panels involved. The output of the UPS to feed the electrical panel. The UPS manufacturer will only provide a flexible cord which has Anderson female connector at one end and bare wire at the other end. The Anderson connector goes in to the output male connector and other end is bare wire for load connections.

I am trying to take that bare wire to be input to a junction box and output of the junction box will be EMT with wiring inside. Inside the junction i will have the wires connected and i am having the junction box close to the UPS unit.

At the UPS rear output slot, there is manufacturer provided output circuit breaker.

Please let me know if this is acceptable installation. Finally this whole application is with in IT room.

Aside from other compliance issues (e.g. cable connector at j-box; wire size and type in EMT), your proposed installation is acceptable and quite common.

Is there any NEC code section that can support this type of installtion.

Article 400.7(A)8 might pertain to your connection. The UPS being the appliance and the cord supplied being intended or identified for cord connection.

(8) Appliances where the fastening means and mechanical connections are specifically designed to permit ready removal for maintenance and repair, and the appliance is intended or identified for flexible cord connection
