I need to provide power drop to some machine and other equipment out on the floor in a industrial facility. The power is 120v 208v even 480v. Is flexible cord like (soow) or any other cord legal to be used as power drop from above, or in this case sealtite is the way to go, because these machine vibrates and they are sometimes being relocated. If it is legal to use flexible cords is it temperedly or it can be permanent. Any suggestion is greatly apprecated. Thank!!!

Re: flexible cords

As a general statement, cord can't be used as a substitute for fixed wiring. If the machines are mobile, you could use pendant receptical drops and be OK.
