Flood Damaged Basement direct replacement?NJ

North Jersey I have a customer who wants me to replace all outlets that went under water durring the huricane. The basement was finished they do not know if or when they will resheet rock it. If I replace the outlets before the basement becomes refinished am I required to replace with GFI protection?

I would say yes.

And remenber if wire was NM (romex) or old BX would need to be replaced too. If they were under water definitely their insulation have been compromised.
