floor boxes in garage

was at a job this week that had 120v receptacles installed in garage slab .inspection was passed was unable to find anything in the code related to this installation . what are you're thoughts . I was shocked . thank you

If a commercial garage with hazardous locations there could be issues, but otherwise there is no general prohibition of floor boxes in a garage. It does need to be suitable for the conditions that will be encountered, which could include a box rated for wet locations.

I think this will work fine and use a solid brass receptacle cover.

As long as the box is rated for the floors it's generally gtg. There are boxes made for concrete pours.

I have seen floor boxes in tile floors next to small indoor pools. I think they were 6 feet away. I didn't get shocked but I was a bit amused.
