need to install floor outlets in "Raised Floors" (example....Stage areas). 314.27(C) dictates the boxes. I believe I will fit the exception there, but if not what is available for floor rated boxes on new construction metal studs? Personally I think they are going to far with having the box be floor rated(unless its in the slab), the cover alone when rated will suffice especially since it's wider than the box and won't go through the floor. Box being "floor rated" is over rated IMO. I mean they sell floor box kits with the heavy duty brass covers and a regular deep metal cut-in box. You mean to tell me that box is now "floor rated" beacuse its in the kit? Come on. Okay maybe I vented there a bit, sorry. What do you guys use for floor boxes(in raised floors commercial and residential)?
