I am trying to find a replacement floor heater (3 total) on a condo project i am working in. I've never seen this style anywhere in San Diego. The Only electric heat i ever see is radiant or wall heaters. The heaters are big cans that drop into the floor, no ducting. The dimensions are 6" wide by 10" deep by 36" long. The manufacturer is intertherm. I checked their website and found no replacement. The units are 20 amp, 240v.
Anybody know if this style is still allowed by code? I couldn't find anything. It seams dangerous to me because lint, debris can easily get through the grill and into the heater.
My supply house told me good luck.

Scroll down to "E"

Tuff one, did quite a few searches using a few programs I use which search all search engines at the same time, and almost all come back with just ones in the 14"-16" range, which you might be able to mount two of these together in the same hole???, also I located many repair shops that re-element these units, so that could be an avenue to look at.

I called some other places today and nobody could help out. I think I'll try and talk them into baseboard heat. They were thinking of re-tiling the floors so this might help them make the decision. Gonna be real tough to find these things especially in CA.
Thanks for looking Wayne.
