Does anyone have any suggestions for a old work floor box for a receptacle going into a wood floor. I've never really done this type of install suggestions and comments would be helpful the finishing call is not really a big deal

The box usually isn't an issue. It's the cover.

I use normal metal cut-in boxes.

I use this box by Hubble. I like it because it sits down in the floor and the receptacle can be used with the lid closed. Lets you place a chair or sofa over it without interfering with the plug.
The cover comes in bronze and nickel/satin.
