Has anyone sat before the board to qualify more than one contractor? If so, does anyone know what they are looking for, types of questions etc?

Think of a congressional hearing or even better McCarthy era hearings.
It will be twice as bad.
The board is clerked by a very sharp young attorney.
I was listening to a guy tell the board all about how he found a company that installed motorized window shades and the qualifier had died and he was "pulling permits" for them to help them out.
They politely listened, and then fined him $5000, suspended his license for a year and of course did not approve his application.
Know the rules, and choose your words very carefully.

If you think about it the board was doing exactly what they should do ( their job ). There are no contractors out there that don't know it's illegal to permit for others and if they really don't know then they shouldn't have a license in the first place.

Very true, It was interesting to see someone hang himself in front of 200 people. He was ignorant and guilty.
The board does an excellent, professional job and it is a labor of love for sure. Those guys are there for us and are not really paid more than expenses.
