Shut the front door! Hey look at the lug to the right of the meters, It looks like its attached by the siding screw! I guess sheet metal screws work for high faults??

From the charred nature of that GEC that is attached by the sheetmetal screw, that may be where the lightning came in at. Hit the building, went through the utility ground system. Florida does have some nasty lightning!

One advantage to mechanical KWH meters, they probably can get a final reading from it!

Actually the conductor was in good shape. Not pictured is the cover. Huge entrance (exit?) hole right above the meter itself.
