Chicago tech here with 17yrs experience cabling and general low voltage systems (pbx, cameras, paging, A/V, data, No fire or burg). I am preparing for the Florida Limited Energy Exam. I passed the Business portion last week. I was feeling good about the Technical portion until I realized that about 50% of the technical test is general electrical theory. I bought the Mike Holt "Limited Energy and Communication Systems" textbook and study guide and feel I have mastery on the Limited Energy stuff. I just additionally purchased the Mike Holt "Basic Electrical Theory" Textbook. It arrives Friday. I am taking the test in a week and the book is 400 pages. I am not looking for answers or any kind of a cheat. I am looking for some guidance on the exam prep. Since I am Low Voltage and this book applies to all levels of electrician are there certain chapters I need to focus on or can skip for my exam prep. For example the Florida LE license does not cover Fire or Burg, so I did not study these chapters beyond a skim. Thanks
