I wasn't sure where to post this question, that is why I'm posting under the general forum. I'm trying to find the Florida Statute that indicates that a License Electrical contractor can pull a commercial building permit without the need to utilize a GC if the majority of the scope is electrical.
Let me try to explain with an example, we constantly install generators in different municipalities within Florida, normally the work is mostly electrical with the exception of concrete pad and fuel source for the generator, the problem is that every municipality seems to follow different rules, some allow us to pull the building permit and use licensed subs for concrete pads and fuel connections, but others are asking us to use a GC and go under them as a sub, even thou the GC (normally our concrete sub) is only doing a small portion of the job.
I have read Florida Statute 489 a couple of times trying to find the answer, but can't locate it. Thanks in advance to anyone that can point me in the right direction.
