I am presently a licsensed EC in New Jersey. I passed my test last July on my first try. I spent about 5 months preparing for it, and really didnt think it was as hard as many people were saying it was. Now I am interested in obtaining my licsense in Florida and everyone in my circle is telling me that the Florida test is harder than any other test in the country. Is there any truth to this? Are there any Florida EC out there that have their licsene and have taken the test in other states that can tell me otherwise to this rumor? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Florida Test

I have taken test in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida and I believe that the hardest test for me was the North Carolina. Florida is hard, but if you are ready for it, you should do well. Take Mike Holts classes and/or videos and study, study, study.

It's not so much the test, it's the BS involved in being able to take it and then being able to use it.

I have not taken the EC test, but know a few people who have lately. They have all used a service where you spent 5 or 6 days in a hotel, studying and taking practice exams for 10? hours a day, then on the last day, you take the EC test. The stack of books is awe-inspiring:D

The State has no journeyman license. That is a local license by county, but don't bother to take it unless some employer is demanding it for more money. Journeyman are not required on the job. Only one master needed in the office.
