Was looking into getting one . Just wondered if anyone has used it . It has " Min & Max " settings . I wondered how long it would take a reading if we pushed max . Wondered if we could leave this for a few hours and if would still be recording max amps when we came back .

To keep from running the battery down the unit has an automatic shutoff with a fixed time of 20 minutes.
But the manual explicitly (although in a somewhat confusing graphic) shows that when you select either min/max or inrush + Hold the auto-shutoff is disabled.

From that, I conclude that, at least as long as the battery lasts, you can leave it recording min/max without limit.
