I went on a service call to a old house that had one or two circuits out. I told the owner when he ask me how long it would take to fix that I could'nt give him a exact time. It was clear he was doing some electric work himself.
What I noticed was my flukealert 1ac lite up around two of his switch boxes, all I had to do was touch the sheet rock 3-4 " anywhere around the switch boexes, and if i got to within about two inches of a recepticle in another box the tester would lightup without touching recept. Thats as far as I got when Ifound out he was looking to repair it himself. I never seen that tester to do that before, does anyone have any Ideas why the tester reacted when touching the sheetrock?
