Flywheels

Has anyone ever designed a UPS system using Flywheels instead of batteries?
I know that there is a major cost difference, but is the price worth it?

I have never used one nor designed around them. Any input would help. Pros, Cons,

the flywheels I have encountered are used for voltage sags, not interruptions. so, IMHO, that does not qualify it as a UPS. altho as a sag mitigation device, it is very effective.
