FMC conduit connected to PVC conduit

Can you provide more detail ?
With the proper fittings it should be allowable but things like grounding need to be taken into account.
How are they being joined ? What size conduits/circuit, etc ?
 
Your answer would be in different sections No violation if FMC is allowed. See uses allowed in respective articles. The FMC will need connection at one end to a bonding conductor per 250.118

20amp lighting circuit, 3/4" conduit joined by electrical tape :)
 
Might as well hang a sign “AHJ-violation here”.
Why tape when all you need is two fittings? If not at least use 33.
