I am building a food truck that will have generator and shore power. I have a Square D 100 amp Homeline panel. Model HOM612L100SCP.

my question is do I need to have a main breaker in this box. I will have a transfer before the box to switch from generator to shore power as needed.

option would be a backfed breaker
thanks

The NEC does not cover food trucks so you don't have any rules to follow.
